Ergonomics in the dishwashing area facilitates inclusion

Inclusion – the employment of severely disabled people in a working environment – represents a major challenge. In Thuringia, for example, only just under 25% of the approximately 4,600 companies comply with the legal obligation to integrate a person with disabilities into their work processes. The Sport and Wellness Hotel Fair Resort in Jena is one of those companies. 

 

In a place where managers meet for conferences that also features wellness and spa facilities, there is a prime example of inclusion, collegiality and smooth cooperation between public authorities and the private sector – behind the scenes and completely unnoticed by guests.  The M-iClean H hood type dishwashing machine made by MEIKO also makes a major contribution. "He didn't want us to think of him primarily as the handicapped colleague. It was important for him to earn his apprenticeship by his own efforts." And he did just that!
